Acting with Sustainability in Mind
That is not only our goal, but also our responsibility for the future
As a chemical-sector company, WACKER must ensure that it strikes a balance between economic, ecological and social aspects. The topic of sustainability has always been an essential part of our corporate culture and forms one of the five goals that make up our corporate strategy.
Our Sustainable Corporate Management Is Based on Voluntary, International Initiatives
We have been a member of the UN’s “Global Compact Program” since 2006. As such, we are required to address the ten principles enshrined in this program to protect human rights, uphold social and environmental standards, and fight corruption. The Global Compact’s principles apply to our suppliers as well.Find out more
Voluntarily doing more than required: WACKER has been committed to the chemical industry’s sustainability initiative since 1995. We are committed to constantly improving our performance as regards safety, health and environmental protection – far beyond what is legally required.Find out more

Supply Chain Management
We procure our raw materials and technical goods and services from suppliers who observe our sustainability principles.
For WACKER, environmentally compatible, economical production begins right at the product-development and plant-planning stages.
We aim to achieve ecological compatibility and safety at every stage of the product lifecycle.
The WACKER Group operates its own safety management system relating to occupational, plant and transport safety.
Code of Sustainability
Our Corporate Sustainability team coordinates sustainability-related work across the Group and oversees how our sustainability strategy and our voluntary Responsible Care® and Global Compact commitments are put into effect.
