WETSOFT® LV 430
WETSOFT® LV 430 is a concentrated nonionic macro emulsion of a self dispersing hydrophilic silicone fluid. It has a very low content of cyclic siloxanes.
Eigenschaften
By improving hand and because of its hydrophilic nature, WETSOFT® LV 430 considerably improves the wear comfort of textiles.
Due to its macro character WETSOFT® LV 430 imparts a specially supple and surface oriented hand to all treated textiles.
The hydrophilic properties are the result of the special orientation of WETSOFT® LV 430 on the fiber surface. This allows unrestricted moisture transport within the fabric, together with the excellent hand that is generally associated with high-quality silicone textile softeners.
Due to the distinct silklike and supple softness effect it is particularly suitable for light knitted and woven goods of all kinds of fibres where hydrophilic properties are of importance.
WETSOFT® LV 430 bonds more strongly to the fiber surface than glycol- and quat-functional polysiloxanes. This leads to better exhaustibility and wash resistance.

Application:
WETSOFT® LV 430 is used for hydrophilic treatment of fibers and textiles of all kinds.
On hydrophilic substrates such as cellulosics, the hydrophilic properties are not usually affected, whereas hydrophobic substrates such as polyester usually experience a clear improvement in wetting properties.
WETSOFT® LV 430 provides woven goods and knitwear with a silklike soft, supple and smooth hand.
When applied under normal conditions WETSOFT® LV 430 has only very little effect on whiteness. It does not generally affect the color shade or fastness of colored goods.
WETSOFT® LV 430 is suitable for padding and for application in the exhaust process. It can be used on its own or together with organic fabric softeners, polyethylene waxes and other finishing agents. The compatibility should be tested on a case-by-case basis.
WETSOFT® LV 430 can be easily diluted with cold tap water in order to obtain hydrophilic macro emulsions of any desired concentration.
Processing:
For padding it is recommended to use 10 to 20 g/l of WETSOFT® LV 430.
For the exhaust process, 1 to 2 % of WETSOFT® LV 430 is used, based on the weight of the textile.

Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
