SLM 23524
SLM 23524 is a 100 %, water dispersible silicone antifoam concentrate based on organofunctional silicone fluids, polymers and organic components especially developed for the demands of the dispersion industry.
Properties
Basically, SLM 23524 is recommended for foaming systems where high compatibility with the antifoam agent must be ensured.
SLM 23524 can be used in applications which usually pose problems for silicones, e.g., paints, adhesives and water miscible cooling lubricants.
In addition, SLM 23524 exhibits excellent degassing properties in high solids content systems, e.g. concretes or mortars.

Application
SLM 23524 shows a low viscosity, excellent dispersibility, foam control performance and a stable efficiency over a long period in formulations rich in surfactants.
In addition, SLM 23524 is mineral oil free.
Since it also possesses resistance to alkalis and acids, it may further be used in a wide range of applications in which pH is critical.
SLM 23524 offers excellent stability and processability at temperatures far below 0°C (32 °F).
Processing
SLM 23524 is dispersible in water. It can be dosed undiluted and is easily miscible with the foaming system by gentle to moderate stirring.
The typical dosage for SLM 23524 is in the range of 0.05% and 0.5% referred to the foaming medium.
The exact dosage must be determined in preliminary tests.
Storage
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable.
In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
