Silicone resins from WACKER are the ideal partner products for applications in the electrical insulation industry: whether serving as exceptionally stable binders for electrically insulating composite materials based on mica and glass-fiber fabric, or as particularly heat-resistant, electrically insulating impregnating substances for mineral-base fillers in electrical heating elements, or as binders for efficient protective coatings on resistors and capacitors.

The cured rubber imparts key properties to mica and glass-cloth laminates. Mica tapes made with WACKER PSA silicone reliably insulate electrical conductors and ensure that safety cables remain fully functional in the event of a fire.
