Our silicone-based water repellents for concrete and masonry provide the most effective protection against water damage by forming an extremely stable, and thus highly durable, three-dimensional silicone-resin network that repels water but is permeable to water vapor.
Our VAE co- and terpolymer dispersions are attractive alternatives to conventional acrylic and styrene-acrylic systems for outdoor applications.
VINNAPAS® Co- And Terpolymer Dispersions
The color stability of exterior paints formulated with a VAE dispersion is far superior to that of paints based on typical styrene acrylics. After 6 weeks of UV exposure, the color of the paint sample containing VINNAPAS® based on VAE (pictured above) matches the original far better than the styrene-acrylic paint sample.
VINNAPAS® co- and terpolymer dispersions allow the formulation of exterior paints with an excellent balance of environmental and performance benefits. They can be used as the sole binder or in blend systems for a variety of exterior applications, such as architectural paints or general wall paints.

Exterior Silicone-Modified Silicate Coatings
SILRES® BS for silicone-modified silicate coatings are nonionic, solvent-free water-dilutable emulsions of a reactive polysiloxane. They are used in undiluted form as water-repellent additives for waterborne architectural coating materials.
