ELASTOSIL® AUX CURING AGENT C6

2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di-(tert-butylperoxy)-hexan, 45% paste in silicone rubber.

ELASTOSIL® AUX CURING AGENT C6 is preferably used for molding applications in combination with ELASTOSIL® R Silicone Rubber .


Properties

Appearance: yellowish translucent paste

Content peroxide: approx. 45%

Content active oxygen: approx. 4.96%

ELASTOSIL® AUX CURING AGENT C6 allows a vulcanisation of ELASTOSIL® R Silicone Rubber for molded applications.

 

The product is blended into a ELASTOSIL® R Silicone Rubber grade on an open roller mill at ambient temperature.

 

Recommended content of ELASTOSIL® AUX CURING AGENT C6: 1.2 phr

This product is available in 20 kg pails.

Storage

Min. storage temperature (Ts min): 10 °C

Max. storage temperature (Ts max): 40 °C

 

Organic peroxides are more or less stable compounds that decompose under elevated temperatures.
In order to avoid quality losses during storage, the maximum storage temperature must not be exceeded.
