Specially recommended for local encapsulation and bonding of delicate electronic components.
Surface Preparation
The surface must be clean and free of contaminants that will inhibit the cure of SEMICOSIL® 267 BLACK. Example of contaminants are sulfur containing materials, plasticizers, urethanes, aminecontaing materilas and organometallic compounds, especially organotin compounds.
If a substrate's ability to inhibit cure is unknown, a small-scale test should be run to determine compatibility.
Packaging & Storage
Storage
SEMICOSIL® 267 BLACK has a shelf life of 9 months form packaging date when stored between -30°C and 0°C (ideal storage temperatures) in the original sealed container. Storage temperatures above 25°C will negatively effect shelf life and potlife of the material. The "Best used by" date appears on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily meant that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance.
