WACKER® E 2 is a nonionic oil-in-water emulsion of a medium viscosity polydimethylsiloxane.

The undiluted emulsion exhibits a relatively high viscosity of usually between 3000 and 10000 mPas. The viscosity of WACKER® E 2 increases on prolonged storage. However, intense stirring will decrease the viscosity to a certain extent.


The product is normally diluted before use. Upon dilution the viscosity will quickly drop to a constant value.


WACKER® E 2 is used for the formulation of release agents for the manufacture of food-contact articles.


WACKER® E 2 contains sorbic acid as preservative.

 

WACKER® E 2 has to be stirred well before use.

Storage

The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
