WACKER® L 655

WACKER® L 655 is an aminoalkyl functional polydimethylsiloxane with crosslinking properties. In comparison with conventional polydimethylsiloxanes of the series WACKER® AK, WACKER® L 655 exhibits excellent affinity to various surfaces. In the presence of atmospheric humidity or other reactive polish actives, e. g., acid waxes, WACKER® L 655 cross-links forming a stable, insoluble polymer film which exhibits an outstanding affinity to substrates and detergent resistance.

Disclaimer

All the information provided is in accordance with the present state of our knowledge. Nonetheless, we disclaim any warranty or liability whatsoever and reserve the right, at any time, to effect technical alterations. The information provided, as well as the product's fitness for an intended application, should be checked by the buyer in preliminary trials. Contractual terms and conditions always take precedence. This disclaimer of warranty and liability also applies particularly in foreign countries with respect to third parties' rights.

WACKER® L 655 can be used in solvent-based paint conditioners and paint polishes. Appropriate formulations will ensure the required effects, e.g. gloss, depth of image, and detergent resistance, without affecting the polishability. For this purpose, it has proved to be advantageous to blend WACKER® L 655 with WACKER® L 654 in a ratio of approx. 1 : 5. Additional use of WACKER® AK silicone fluids and suitable waxes can be recommended.
