SILFOAM® SC 370
SILFOAM® SC 370 is a medium viscosity antifoam agent that is stable against hydrolysis, has an active ingredient content of 100 % and is based on an organically modified silicone fluid. In comparison to antifoam agents which are based on pure silicone fluids (PDMS) SILFOAM® SC 370 in general exhibits better compatibility with organic systems.

SILFOAM® SC 370 may be added as it is at high shear rates or in the form of a dispersion. Suitable dispersing agents include ethanol, 2-propanol, and acetone.
The exact dosage of SILFOAM® SC 370 has to be determined in preliminary tests. We recommend starting with amounts between 0.02 and 0.5 %.
SILFOAM® SC 370 is ideal for aqueous systems in which silicones would usually cause problems, e. g., the manufacture and processing of dispersions, paints and surface coatings, adhesives, cooling lubricants and textile applications. Due to its hydrolytic stability, SILFOAM® SC 370 may be used in a wide pH range.
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
