  • BELSIL® GB 3010 is the new alternative to conventional gum blends for hair-care products. The biodegradable solvent (isododecane) evaporates completely after application.
  • In addition, this creates a silky-smooth hair texture when used with the elastomer gel BELSIL® eco EG 3001. Instead of opting for a siloxane-based solvent, WACKER chose to rely on an organic mixture of undecane and tridecane that is completely degraded in the environment by microorganisms. The methanol required in the silicone production process is replaced by biomethanol.
  • Our silicone resin BELSIL® TMS 803 effectively controls frizz, even in conditions of high humidity.
  • Our silicone oil BELSIL® PF 100 has a high refractive index, which is instrumental in giving your hair its glossy look.

Instead of a siloxane-based solvent, BELSIL® eco EG 3001 uses a mixture of undecane and tridecane that is fully degraded in the environment by microorganisms. BELSIL® eco EG 3001 is based on biomethanol made from renewable raw materials and integrated into the production process using the mass balance method.
  • BELSIL® CDM 3526 VP silicone wax improves the spreadability of the lotion. This also makes the skin feel pleasant and not sticky.

Another highlight is that the emphasis in manufacturing the silicone products used was on sustainability and saving resources. In this regard, methanol that is usually obtained from fossil sources was substituted by biomethanol produced from renewable raw materials.

  • BELSIL® CDM 3526 VP silicone wax and BELSIL® DM 5 silicone oil improve the spreadability of the formulation.

In this formulation, methanol that is usually obtained from fossil raw materials is replaced with plant-based biomethanol, which is integrated into production using the mass balance method.
