Wacker Chemicals Korea Certified as a “Work and Life Balance-Friendly Company” by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism

Certification Program is based on Article 16 of the “Basic Act on National Leisure Promotion” and recognizes companies and institutions that actively support employees in harmonizing work and life.
Evaluation criteria include: Formation of leisure conditions, Implementation of leisure-friendly policies, Support for leisure activities, Leadership from top management, Development of a work and life balance-friendly organizational culture, Employee satisfaction with work and life-related policies
Additional points are awarded for companies that have obtained family-friendly certification or provide relaxing spaces and facilities.

The certification is granted through a rigorous process including employee satisfaction surveys, document reviews, interviews, and final deliberation by the Work and Life Balance-Friendly Certification Committee.

WACKER Chemicals Korea supports Work & Life balance activities through various initiatives, including:
Implementation of flexible work arrangements (remote work, staggered hours), Operation of diverse leave policies (summer leave, long-service leave, health check-up leave), Selective welfare programs and access to a corporate benefits mall, Support for employee clubs, company outings, and sports events

In addition, the company has made efforts to foster a focused work environment by:
Eliminating hierarchical titles and promoting a culture of mutual respect using the honorific “nim”
Improving workplace and rest areas
