SILFOAM® SL 9060
SILFOAM® SL 9060 is a low viscous antifoam solution containing a low proportion of a highly viscous silicone fluid.
The dimethylpolysiloxane contained in SILFOAM® SL 9060 has a strong defoaming effect in numerous mineral oil products as well as in other non-aqueous systems, due to its low surface tension and good spreading ability.
特性
SILFOAM® SL 9060 can be used in a variety of different applications, e. g. in applications in the oil field (crude oil / naturalgas separators), in refinery processes (visbreaking, coking), in foaming distillation processes and in other foaming, non-aqueous formulations.
Often, just a few ppm of SILFOAM® SL 9060 will be sufficient for effective foam destruction.
The required dosage is between 2 and 100 ppm and depends mainly on the medium to be defoamed and on the process.
To avoid overdosage and to ensure rapid dispersion and thus high effectiveness, it is advisable to further dilute the solution.
SILFOAM® SL 9060 is soluble in a 1:10 dilution in: kerosene, gas oil, middle distillate, white spirit, petroleum ether,chlorinated hydrocarbons, chlorofluorohydrocarbons, ethyl acetate, methyl isobutyl ketone.
SILFOAM® SL 9060 is insoluble in a 1:10 dilution in: water, alcohol, glycol, glycerine, cyclohexanone, acetone.

The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable.
In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
