WACKER® FINISH WR 301
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 is a reactive aminoethyl-aminopropyl- functional polydimethylsiloxane.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 is particularly suitable as active substance in softener formulations for the impregnation of fibers and textiles.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 imparts a very soft, drapable, and elastic touch to woven and knitted fabrics.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 is considered to be a very good softening agent for cotton fabrics and knitware made of cotton or cotton/PES blends.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 improves the wash-and-wear properties and the crease recovery angle, sewability and tear strength and reduces abrasion loss. The effects are fast to washing and dry cleaning.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 has only little effect on the degree of whiteness in a softener formulation. As a rule no adverse effect on the shade or color fastness properties of coloured goods is observed.
As part of formulations used as fill fibre finish WACKER® FINISH WR 301 imparts excellent slickness and resilience to the fiber.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 can be applied neat, from solution, or emulsion. Suitable solvents are aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, higher alcohols, and ketones.
Most textile processes are waterbased. Hence WACKER® FINISH WR 301 is mainly applied from emulsion.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 is suitable for the formulation of microemulsions.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 can be used as sole active substance in softener emulsions or in combination with other components, e.g. paraffines, esters of fatty acids, etc. Compatability of the components has to be checked in each individual case.
Emulsions of WACKER® FINISH WR 301 are diluted to the optimum concentration for the specific fabric. Application can be done by padding or exhaustion.
The product is available in 190 kg drum as well as 950 kg tote.
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
