Before gluing the surfaces should be carefully cleaned with a solvent, e. g. chemically pure acetone. EL R 3112 1-K M US should be applied in a thin layer. After fixing the parts under low pressure vulcanization occurs at a temperature of approximately 170 °C. The vulcanization time depends on the heat transfer of the parts; the bonded area is vulcanized in approximately 30 s after reaching 170 °C. Adhesion can be improved by post-curing.
