LIOSIL TS 7301 E is a microemulsion of a hydrophilic functional silicone without defoamer developed especially as a softener for the tissue industry.
The product amount should be tailored to the particular tissue being used. It is generally recommended that the tissue should be coated with between 2 and 8 wt.% of LIOSIL TS 7301 E. If the product is applied by spraying technology, one of the following two criteria should be observed:
1. The atmospheric particle distribution should comply with SEHSC recommendations (see "guidance for aerosol application of silicone-based materials"), i.e. the average particle size should be larger than 30 µm, and less than 1% of the particles should be smaller than 10 µm.
2. If aerosols are formed, we recommend relating to the silicone fluid not to exceed a TLV of 0.2 mg/m³ air which is recommended by ACGIH for mineral oil mist.
The use of the emulsion is recommended for all conventional tissue types such as toilet paper, facial tissue or cosmetic wipes which may benefit from a certain soft feel. The emulsion can be combined with other organic softeners, provided an adequate compatibility test has been performed.
WACKER SILFOAM® antifoam agent technology has not been added to reduce or eliminate foaming during processing. If substantial foaming should be present, then WACKER SILFOAM® antifoam agent technology may be needed.

The "Best use before end date" of each batch is shown on the Certificate of Analysis. Storage beyond the date specified on the Certificate of Analysis does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
