Surface preparation

All surfaces must be clean and free of contaminants that will inhibit the cure of LUMISIL® 245 GEL 1K UV.

Examples of inhibiting contaminants are sulfer containing materials, plasticizers, urethanes, amine containing materials and organometallic compounds – especially organotin compounds. If a substrate’s ability to inhibit cure is unknown, a small scale test should be run to determine compatibility

 

Curing

Curing speed can be adjusted by UV power and time. Also heat can accelerate curing process.

We recommend running preliminary tests to optimize conditions for particular application. 

  • Recommened Lamp type: UV-A (ex. Mercury, Metal Halide etc.), 365nm LED

If the applied lamp is 365nm LED lamp, the higher UV irradiance would be better. (ex. 2,000 mW/cm2)

Tack free time can be increased or decreased depending on the applied irradiance of energy source.

Storage

The 1K product must be stored in dark place without UV light. At the same time, the storage temperature should be maintained above 0’C and below 25’C

 

The ‘Best use before end date’ of each batch is marked on the product label. For the best performance of the product, it is recommended to be used within the end date. After the expiration date, the performance of the product cannot be guaranteed. In this case, the product stored over the end date must be checked its properties before use.
