Amelie’s story
We use SAP in just about every part of the company: not just in Purchasing and Finance, but also in Production, Sales, Logistics, Quality Assurance and in Environment and Health Management. In other words: two out of three employees, around 10,000 people, access this system. As an SAP consultant, you will interface with production processes, services and customers. Martin’s story
Almost all our employees are in contact with IT service management through our Service Desk. But that is just the tip of the iceberg, as IT services run through the entire Group. You therefore have the opportunity to develop a great network within WACKER, not only advising your IT colleagues, but also other units in the Group about suitable IT services. You will describe the requirements for technical solutions, plan and then carry out their implementation. Sandra’s story
From the workplace right up to server infrastructure and the platforms of tomorrow: you will be working in a cooperative team and be responsible for a strong IT infrastructure and secure digital platforms. For example, you will plan, design and implement system platforms and their components in our environment and develop operating concepts. Or you will work for Client Services regarding digital workplaces at WACKER. Your expertise is also needed for cloud computing, as we are continuing to develop away from on-premise data centers. The Munich region is the economic and social heart of Bavaria. Around 1.5 million inhabitants make this city the third largest metropolis in Germany. Made famous by football and the Oktoberfest, Munich has a lot to offer in addition to culture. Being able to take spontaneous trips to the nearby Alps and neighboring lakes also makes life in this city even more diverse.

Burghausen, located directly on the Austrian border, houses our largest production site. A large part of our IT employees are also active in this Bavarian city.
- Plant founded in 1916
- Site covering two square kilometers, encompassing approx. 150 production plants
- Over 8,000 employees on site
The municipality of Nünchritz lies picturesquely next to the river Elbe, between Dresden and Leipzig. We acquired the plant in 1998, modernizing and expanding it to create the foundation for a successful future.
- Production covers around 200 products required by industries worldwide
- Saxony’s largest chemical-industry employer
- Around 1,500 people work at this site
Plzeň, a local industrial and cultural center in the western Bohemia region, also houses a WACKER SILICONES production plant: customers throughout Europe are supplied from here with silicone rubber blends. We are currently expanding our IT structures at this site.
