Gypsum-based building materials formulated with SILRES^® BS POWDER S are thoroughly water-repellent. Gypsum plasters and the jointing compounds used in drywall building are protected from water and thus against irreversible damage.

The ready-to-use silicone sealants in the General Purpose (GP) and General Sanitary (GS) product lines offer excellent adhesion to porous and non-porous substrates and are suitable for numerous high-quality construction applications.

WACKER’s Nanjing site: this fully integrated plant manufactures VINNAPAS^® dispersions and dispersible polymer powders as binders for sectors such as construction, coatings and adhesives. The new pilot reactor for VAE dispersions will enable WACKER to increase its local expertise, applications support and customer service.

Another product highlight at in-cosmetics Paris is the silicone resin elastomer gel BELSIL^® REG 1102, which combines the skin sensory properties of non-crosslinked silicone polymers with the film-forming effects of silicone resins.

Modern buildings often feature steel skeletons – but when the temperature reaches 500°C, steel frames soften rapidly. To prevent them from buckling within minutes during a fire (left), they are provided with special fire protection coatings, allowing them to resist a fire for much longer (right). The polymer binders VINNAPAS^® EZ 3112 and VINNAPAS^® EZ 3066 ensure significant foam development in these coatings, coupled with improved adhesion and strength.
