WACKER Launches Global Safety Campaign ‘For Our Safety’
WACKER, the global chemical company headquartered in Munich, Germany, has launched a worldwide safety campaign to strengthen its safety culture.

The “For Our Safety” campaign is a global initiative involving all WACKER subsidiaries, including Wacker Chemicals Korea. On March 18, approximately 16,600 employees participated in coordinated town hall meetings across the company sites.

Designed based on a 2024 global employee safety survey, the campaign aims to raise awareness, reinforce the importance of safety, and embed best practices into daily operations. In Korea, town hall meetings were held for all 370 employees at WACKER Chemicals Korea’s Pangyo sales office, Jincheon (Chungcheongbuk-do), and Ulsan production site.

During the meetings, WACKER introduced: Three Core Safety Principles - Always Be Cautious, Share and Learn from Issues, Act Responsibly Eight Life Saving Rules - Drive Safely, Wear Mandatory PPE, Avoid Hazardous Zones, Restricted Area Access Control, Follow Permit-to-Work Procedures, Comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Inspect and Sign with Accountability, Verify Safety Controls, Employees also participated in a Safety Pledge Card activity to share personal commitments to workplace safety.

“Safety is WACKER’s core value and non-negotiable priority,” said Dal-ho Cho, managing director of Wacker Chemicals Korea. “Through ‘For Our Safety,’ we will continue to instill a proactive safety mindset—not just in workplaces but in every aspect of daily operations.”
WACKER Chemicals Korea maintains a dedicated EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) organization and site-specific management systems. Its initiatives include regular training, stringent safety protocols, and performance evaluations. Recognitions include Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for environmental safety (2015)
