Technology group 3M honors WACKER
Outstanding supply management, flexibility, excellent service – these were only some of the superlatives US technology group 3M used to praise WACKER as “Supplier of the Year 2025” at the company’s award event in St Paul, Minnesota. Raman Trikala, Global Key Accounts Manager for 3M, and Ian Moore, Head of the Consumer & Healthcare Business Unit, were honored to accept the award.

Every year, several thousand companies compete for the 3M’s supplier award. Only seven of the 6,000 applicants are honored – and this time WACKER was one of them. In his laudatory speech, Kelly Bysouth, Chief Procurement Officer for 3M, praised WACKER for its excellent service. The procurement expert was particularly impressed by the overall dedication of the WACKER team. According to Bysouth, the company had been able to successfully navigate complex shipping logistics ensuring seamless supply chain delivery. “The recognition is a testament to the strong partnership between WACKER and 3M, and the value the teams continue to deliver together.”
WACKER recently received 3M’s Supplier Award 2025 for best-in-class services.
WACKER has been supplying the Minnesota-based company with specialty chemical products for many years. Its preferred product range includes silicone elastomers and silicone resins as well as dispersions and polymeric binders. Grid expansion and the construction of new data centers as a result of the global AI boom have also led to increased demand for high consistency silicones, some of which WACKER produces exclusively for 3M. “Almost all business units in the Silicones division now supply the technology group, and not only in the US,” says Raman Trikala, Global Key Accounts Manager for 3M. “We also deliver silicones to 3M locations in Italy, Japan, and even in China.”
He and Ian Moore, head of the Consumer & Healthcare business unit, attended 3M’s supplier award ceremony in Saint Paul where the award was handed over to them. “I am so proud of our team and their dedicated commitment to continue to deliver best-in-class service to our longtime partner 3M,” Moore said. “This award reinforces the important partnership between service and sales, and when done right it can lead to growth results directly impacting the bottom line.”
This year's supplier award was not the first accolade WACKER received from 3M. The recent recognition is a direct reflection of the "best-in-class" performance appraisal WACKER received the previous year, validating the immense effort the Global Key Accounts Team put into scaling the partnership and delivering excellence across the board.
