WACKER to raise prices for silicone-based products

  • Conflict in the Middle East has led to significant disruption in global supply chains, resulting in significantly increased costs for energy, raw materials and logistics
  • WACKER will therefore raise its prices for its silicones product range effective April 1, 2026

The current developments in the Middle East have led to significant distortions in the energy and raw materials markets worldwide. Due to this and to considerable disruptions to international trade routes prices for oil, natural gas, raw materials and logistics have risen palpably. WACKER’s global silicones business is affected by this development.

The Group is working intensively across its global production and logistics network to minimize any impact on its customers. However, in view of the extent of current cost increases, particularly for energy, raw materials, and logistics, price adjustments are inevitable. WACKER will raise prices for silicone-based products effective April 1, 2026. Customers will be informed accordingly.

The division’s portfolio ranges from silicone fluids, emulsions, resins, elastomers and sealants to silanes, silane-terminated polymers and pyrogenic silica. These stand out due to their significant value-adding potential for the customers – enhancing both the benefits and performance of end products. Silicones’ products find application in such sectors as automotive engineering, construction, chemicals, cosmetics, medical technology, energy and electronics, and paper and textiles. In 2025, Silicones generated around 50 percent of Group sales.
