WACKER, the Munich-based chemical company, will showcase ELASTOSIL^® Color Paste FL UV Fluorescent at the K 2016 International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber. The pigment paste is used to mark liquid silicone rubber. In daylight, the contained pigment is virtually colorless but shines a deep blue-violet color when irradiated with UV light.

WACKER, the Munich-based chemical company, will showcase the highly transparent LUMISIL^® LR 7601 silicone rubber at this year’s K 2016 International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber. The product was specifically designed for the manufacture of optical lenses, coupling and light-guiding elements.

The self adhesive liquid silicone rubber is ideal for sealing applications in the engine compartment or car body. Typical areas of application include automotive electronics and electrical systems, where the product is used in single-wire seals and connector housings with radial seals applied by injection molding.

The self-adhesive liquid silicone rubber delivers good elastic recovery and bonds well to several metals and plastic. Once cured, the elastomer bleeds fluid, which simplifies installation of connectors and other parts.
