Antimisting Agents

When used in antimisting agents, special-purpose WACKER silicones create an invisible, highly effective hydrophilic film on glass surfaces. This prevents moist air from condensing as droplets. Instead, a homogeneous, ultrathin film of water forms that does not scatter light. As a result, glass surfaces such as car windows, mirrors or eyeglasses do not mist up, and optimum visibility is assured.

Rinse-off agents

Rinse-off agents come into their own in car washes. After the last wash cycle, they are sprayed onto the wet car in the form of highly dilute solutions, where they exert both a water-repellent and protective effect. When used in rinse-off agents, WACKER’s amino-functional silicone fluids ensure that the water film breaks down spontaneously and shortens drying times. What’s more, they impart an attractive sheen and lasting protection to the cleaned paintwork – with no undesirable silicone buildup, even with frequent use.

Water repellents for glass

WACKER’s silicone-based water repellents create a highly effective and extremely smooth invisible film on various glass surfaces, such as car window panes and mirrors. Water droplets do not adhere to vertical surfaces and run down inclined surfaces more readily or are blown away by the headwind.
