ELASTOSIL respirator mask
Thanks to their purity and good skin compatibility, silicones increasingly find use in medical-technology applications. At COMPAMED 2017, chemical group WACKER is presenting its new ELASTOSIL® LR 5040 liquid silicone rubber. The product features excellent tear strength after curing, allowing manufacturers of medical devices to dispense with thermal post-treatment in many cases.

WGC Analytical Lab
WACKER’s analytical lab at its Shanghai Technical Center in China. New R&D labs for silicone products as well as an application lab catering to the local food industry will be completed next year.
