Between June and September, WACKER offers high-school students aged 18 and older the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and explore different areas of the company. These summer jobs offer valuable insights into day-to-day operations, hands-on teamwork experience, and a behind-the- scenes look at an international chemical company.

Internships
An internship at WACKER Germany means becoming part of a real team and making meaningful contributions to day-to-day operations. Students majoring in economics, engineering, the natural sciences or IT-related disciplines work on real-world projects, gain exposure to diverse fields of work, and build valuable professional networks while still studying.
Personal guidance from experienced specialists, internship compensation aligned with your academic progress, and assistance in finding accommodation provide an ideal environment for learning, growth and success. Voluntary internships may last up to three months; the length of mandatory internships is determined by individual universities’ requirements.
The regular weekly work schedule varies from site to site and ranges from 37.5 to 38.5 hours.

Non-payscale employees can lease a car as gross deferred compensation.
WACKER pays supplementary sick pay to non-payscale employeeseven after statutory continued payment of compensation ceases.

Full-time WACKER employees are entitled to 30 days of annual leave. In addition, you get paid leave for special occasions, such as moving or getting married.

Together with an external consulting company, we assist with arranging childcare at most of our German sites.
