Polymer-modified concrete is sprayed onto the walls in the Stetten salt mine to stabilize the tunnel and to act as a barrier to water seepage. The innovative formulation reduces the rebound during spray application, and so minimizes waste and material consumption.

Zhangjiagang - Packaging pyrogenic silica
Packaging line in the pyrogenic silica plant at Zhangjiagang (China). Pyrogenic silica is used as an active filler in silicone elastomers, as a viscosity-adjusting agent in coatings, printing inks, adhesives, unsaturated polyester resins and plastisols or as a flow aid, for example in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food-processing industries.
