WACKER® FINISH WR 210
WACKER® FINISH WR 210 is a reactive modified aminofunctional polydimethylsiloxane for use in non-yellowing and moisture neutral textile finishing.
WACKER® FINISH WR 210 is suitable for the formulation of micro emulsions and macro emulsions. WACKER® FINISH WR 210 can be utilized as the active substance in softener emulsions or in combination with other components, e.g. paraffin waxes, organic softeners, etc. Compatibility of the components has to be checked in each individual case. When applied under normal conditions as part of a softener formulation, WACKER® FINISH WR 210 has no effect on the whiteness. In fact, it has no perceptible influence on the color or color fastness of textiles and fibers in general.
WACKER® FINISH WR 210 can be applied neat, from solution, or emulsion. Suitable solvents are aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, higher alcohols, and ketones.
Most textile processes are water based. Hence WACKER® FINISH WR 210 is mainly applied from emulsion. Emulsions prepared of WACKER® FINISH WR 210 are diluted to the optimum concentration for the specific fabric. Application can be done either by padding or exhaustion method.

20.0 parts WACKER® FINISH WR 210
52.9 parts demineralized water
0.1 parts preservative
For emulsion manufacturing slow shear mixers are sufficient (e.g. blade, anchor, propeller, etc.).
Add the emulsifiers to the demineralized water and thoroughly homogenize. Slowly add WACKER® FINISH WR 210 and stir until the product is homogeneous. Finally dilute with demin. water, add the preservative and filter the emulsion through a fine Perlon fabric.
WACKER® FINISH WR 210 is available in 190 kg drum as well as 950 kg IBC.
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
