ELASTOSIL® M 4670 US A/B
Pourable, addition-curing, two-component silicone rubber that vulcanizes at room temperature.
- High Shore A hardness (approx. 55)
- Fast and non-shrink cure at room temperature which can be accelerated considerably by the application of heat

- Outstanding resistance to common casting resins
Due to its outstanding resistance to casting resins as
well as its superior mechanical properties,
ELASTOSIL® M 4670 US A/B is perfectly suitable for all molds of models with only slight undercuts that are to be reproduced in casting resins, and a high inherent rigidity of the molds is required.
As a high-Shore addition-curing RTV-2 silicone rubber that cures without undergoing dimensional shrinkage, ELASTOSIL® M 4670 US A/B is also extremely suitable for casting all other common reproduction materials, particularly if absolutely accurate copies of models with slight undercuts are required.
The platinum catalyst is contained in component A.
Only components A and B that have the same lot
number may be processed together!
To ensure both optimum flow and homogeneity of the
material, the components must be stirred thoroughly
before they are removed or processed in their
containers, in order to uniformly disperse any fillers
that might have settled during storage.
The tables below indicate the pot lives and tack-free
times at various temperatures.
The pot life figures indicate the time required for the
mix to reach a viscosity of 150,000 mPa s.
The curing times apply to a layer thickness of 1 cm.

ELASTOSIL® M 4670 US A/B has a shelf life of at least 12 months when stored between 5 °C and 30 °C in the originally sealed container. The 'Best use before end' date of each batch appears on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does
not necessarily mean that the product is no longer
usable. In this case however, the properties required
for the intended use must be checked for quality
