ELASTOSIL® C2935 A

Silicone Rubber Sponge ELASTOSIL® C2935 A is a medium-density silicone rubber sponge compound. It is specifically designed for molding. When properly catalyzed and cured it produces a sponge that is tough and resilient with a uniform, closed-cell structure.


Catalyst ELASTOSIL® C2935 A is supplied without a crosslinking agent. The recommended catalyst level is: - 1.0 parts: 2,5-di(t-butylperoxy)-2,5 dimethylhexane (45% active) per 100 parts of ELASTOSIL® C2935 A. Molding / Post Curing The recommended molding temperature is 350 °F. Using a cool mold, the molding time will vary 15 to 30 minutes depending on part thickness. The recommended post cure is 4 h at 400 °F.


Sponge parts produced from ELASTOSIL® C2935 A are used in applications that require toughness, good thermal stability, and low compression set. Molded gaskets, thermal barriers, and vibration damping pads are a few examples of finished products that can be fabricated from this versatile product.

The "Best use before end date" of each batch is shown on the Certificate of Analysis. Storage beyond the date specified on the Certificate of Analysis does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
