SILRES® POWDER E
SILRES® POWDER E is a water-repellent in powder form based on Silane-technology and used as a highly efficient additive. SILRES® POWDER E acts as outstanding water-repellent even at very low concentrations without affecting the water vapour permeability.

SILRES® POWDER E is a high-quality specialty product for enhancing the water repellency and water resistance of non load-bearing precast concrete products or mineral construction material mixes, e.g. premixed plasters, joint mortars and powder paints.
Properly formulated products exhibit:
- low water absorption coefficients
- excellent droplet effect
- low soiling tendency
SILRES® POWDER E can be used in both dry powder and liquid systems.
To produce non load-bearing precast concrete products or mineral construction material mixes such as premixed plasters, joint mortars or powder paints mix SILRES® POWDER E with the other dry materials using suitable equipment. Very good water repellency and durability may be achieved with 0.1-0.3% based on the dry weight. After sufficient water has been added, mortars can be mixed by hand or machine. Since mixing by hand only generates low shear forces, it is best to allow the mixture to mature by leaving it to stand for 5 minutes, and then to stir it again.
If the product is used in applications other than those mentioned, the choice, processing and use of it is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. All legal and other regulations must be complied with.
Slight color variations of the dispersible polymer powder may occure without impairing the product's functionality.
Further information for storage:
Store in a dry and cool place. Storage time should not exceed 6 months from receipt of delivery.
If the product is stored under pressure, in damaged or fairly long opened packaging, the powder can tend to caking.
Blends of SILRES® POWDER E with hydraulic binders, fillers and pigments have better storage stability because these substances prevent caking. However, blends of this type still have to be protected against humidity.
