ELASTOSIL® N 294 is a free-flowing, ready-to-use silicone rubber that vulcanizes either at room temperature or at high temperatures under the influence of atmospheric moisture. ELASTOSIL® N 294 is available in blue and red color.

ELASTOSIL® N 294 is particularly suited for screen-printing. It can be applied and cured on diverse substrates. It works both on sulphur containing or sulphur free substrates.
Typical use is screen printing on fibre based cylinder head gaskets. If a top coating is needed, condensation cure materials have to be used to avoid contact inhibition effects.
Some filler may settle during transport and storage. To ensure a uniform mix, the components should be thoroughly stirred prior to use. ELASTOSIL® N294 is a moisture curing silicone sealant. For this reason the curing rate strongly depends on both temperature and atmospheric humidity in the surrounding.ELASTOSIL® N294 can be applied with standard silk-screen printing equipment.

ELASTOSIL® N 294 should be stored at 23 °C maximum in the tightly closed original container. The 'Best use before end' date of each batch appears on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
