POWERSIL® 1900 A/B
POWERSIL® 1900 A/B silicone rubber is a light gray, two-component, ready to use, addition-curing silicone coutchouc that cures to an electrically insulating, highly erosion resistant silicone elastomer.
No peroxide decomposition products are re-leased during curing. Due to the curing system, there is no risk for curing inhibition by oxygen.

Application details
POWERSIL® 1900 A/B is mainly intended for the extrusion application of electrical equipment for outdoor use, especially for hollow core insulators.
Processing
Components A and B are delivered ready to use and are dosed in a ratio of 1 part A to 99 parts B.
For detailed information about processing please refer to the brochure “Solid and liquid silicone rubber – material and processing guidelines”.
To achieve a good bonding between the typically used materials for electrical insulating equipment and POWERSIL® 1900 A/B a primer shall be used. It is available from Wacker Chemie AG as well.
The used catalyst system can be desactivated by the influence of some chemical products (e.g., amine derivates, sulphur products, tin compounds and phosphorous products). Please avoid contact to these chemical products.
Packaging & Storage
Storage
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
