The addition-crosslinking silicone rubber cures to a very soft, colorless, and translucent gel.

The gel is used for making external breast-protheses with an outer skin of polyurethane film.
To prepare the cured gel, A and B must be mixed in the recommended mixing ratio and degassed by evacuation under vacuum. The mixture can then be used to fill the PU-films. After closing the films’ filling holes, the protheses are cured at 120 °C for 1 h and demolded after cooling.
Lagerung
ELASTOSIL® P 7616-197 CLEAR US A/B has a shelf life of at least 18 months f rom its date of production when stored between -10°C and +30°C in the originally sealed container.
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch appears on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer
usable. In this case how ever, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality
assurance reasons.
