As a globally active company committed to social responsibility, WACKER is devoted to protecting human rights. We attach great importance to complying with human rights and fair business practices at every one of our sites. We condemn all forms of forced or compulsory labor and slavery. In doing so, we are following the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the ILO Core Labor Standards and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
We focus not only on working conditions at the company itself, but also on observing human rights in our supply chain. We expect our suppliers to observe the principles of the UN’s Global Compact and the Responsible Care® initiative. This constitutes part of our General Terms and Conditions of Purchase. As part of our Together for Sustainability (TfS) initiative, we use assessments and audits to check compliance.
