- Methyl silicone fluids have low pour points, high flash points, and their viscosity remains virtually constant despite changes in temperature. They have a low order of toxicity, are water-repellent, have a high compressive strength and are resistant to heat and radiation. Various industry segments choose WACKER methyl silicone fluids as their preferred hydraulic oils or heat transfer fluids wherever limited lubrication is required. They are ideal for bearings and transmissions made from pure or reinforced polymers and as lubricants for natural and synthetic rubber, PVC, polystyrene and sewing thread.
- Phenylmethyl silicone fluids are very heat stable and are particularly suitable for very high and very low temperatures. WACKER phenylmethyl silicone fluids are chiefly employed as heat transfer fluids, pressure transfer media and lubricants for a variety of applications, especially in the nautical, meteorological and aerospace sectors.
- Ready-to-use silicone pastes find widespread application in countless industrial sectors on account of their high chemical resistance, virtually constant consistency on exposure to temperature changes, water repellency, good antifriction properties, high breakdown strength, resistance to micro-organisms and their low loss factor. They make excellent antifriction agents and lubricants for traditional applications and for complex structural elements that must function under extreme conditions. WACKER silicone pastes are preferred for plastic/plastic and plastic/metal pairings and as antifriction agents for organic elastomers.
