Function, tasks:
Assistant to the divisional head

Year of joining WACKER:

What is special about my time at WACKER is ...
... all the people I have got to know and like. I meet so many different characters – which can sometimes be a challenge in a professional context. What I particularly appreciate is the fact that “work-encounter” acquaintances have become long-lasting, close friendships.

What is special about WACKER is ...
... that despite its globalization, the company has never forgotten its origins and also, that Burghausen is still one of the most important sites.

Where I want to be in ten years’ time:
I have some concrete ideas – at best still at WACKER.

What was better than today 100 years ago?
1914 was when World War I started: I can’t presume to judge what was better then, except that the founding of WACKER must have been very good for the inhabitants of Burghausen and its surroundings. Now, if you asked me what was better 15 years ago, I would say less time pressure and life was not so hectic. People were more easygoing; the pace was slower.

What will be better than today in 100 years’ time?
I hope that R&D into products will improve the quality of life worldwide, and that the gap between poor and rich will not get even bigger.

And the best thing about today is:
The flexibility and mobility we have today shouldn’t be taken for granted. The social benefits WACKER provides are also very nice to have.

What I would like to bring about at WACKER:
In my opinion, there has been too little opportunity up till now for assistants at WACKER to exchange information and experience. Everyone talks about networking, but I don’t see it happening for assistants. I would like to set up a circle for assistants, and hope that this will meet with enthusiasm and stimulate active participation.

What I would still like to try out in life:
As a private individual and in terms of a sporting achievement, I would like to do a “Trans Himalaya” trip by mountain bike over the highest mountain passes on Earth.

My favorite meal at the employee cafeteria:
Apple strudel.

My favorite celebration:
At WACKER? The summer party at HQ, of course.
