Day 2:

Learn about VINNAPAS® VAE dispersions, the preferred technology for environmentally friendly interior and exterior paints, and how to formulate low-VOC paints. Know more about VAE binders for specialty coatings such as fire retardants and intumescent coatings.

WACKER ACADEMY Trainer Dr. Dieter Heldmann

Dr. Dieter Heldmann

Dr. Dieter Heldmann studied at the University of Regensburg, earning a doctorate in organic chemistry. Following a postdoctoral period at ETH Zurich, he started his career at WACKER’s Corporate Research & Development department. Since 2006, as senior technical manager, he has supervised the use of silicone products in industrial-coating applications, in particular binders for heat-resistant coatings.

Norman Riley

Beginning his career with Wacker in 1984, Norm served in technical roles for companies such as Wacker, Applied Silicone, Rhodia, Inc. and Bluestar Silicones over the 31 years that followed. He rejoined WACKER in 2015 as Technical Manager in Silicone Rubber responsible for providing technical service and training to silicone rubber fabricators and end-users as well as formulation and applications development for LSR and HCR. Norm attended California Lutheran University and holds a BA in Organic Chemistry.
