WACKER changes its invoices set-up

Up from January 1st 2022, our local WACKER affiliate Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp.z o.o. will fulfill your orders under its own name and on its own account.

This change starts in selected countries in the EU and will be continued to be rolled out globally over the next few years. We start with our WACKER affiliates in Poland, France, and Spain.

For you as our valued customer, this change means to set up a new supplier in your ordering process as invoices will be issued by and in the name of Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp.z o.o. instead of Wacker Chemie AG or any other production entity of the WACKER group. However, there is no impact on the supply chain.

Yes, as of January 1st 2022, Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp.z o.o. being your local WACKER affiliate will be your contract partner. In case the contract does not cover WACKER affiliates already, there is need for a short supplement to the existing contract. Your Sales Manager will contact you if a contract supplement is applicable to you or if a new contract has to include WACKER affiliates in the future.

Generally, orders should be placed at the WACKER Sales Office located in the country to which the order will be delivered (your ship-to location):

For deliveries to a ship-to location in France, please order at Wacker Chimie S.A.S.

For deliveries to a ship-to location in Spain or Portugal, please order at Wacker Química Ibérica, S.A.

For deliveries to a ship-to location in Poland, please order at Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp. z o.o.

For deliveries to any other ship-to location, please order at our sales office in the respective ship-to country. Your contract partner is - as today - any WACKER production entity (in most cases Wacker Chemie AG) in 2022.

We will continue the roll-out of the change in invoicing set-up in more countries globally in 2023 and beyond.

We will not have a transition period but rather a hard cut approach:

All orders placed until 31/12/2021 will be confirmed and invoiced by Wacker Chemie AG or the respective Wacker production entity.

All orders placed on or after 01/01/2022 will be confirmed and invoiced by Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp.z o.o.

This means:

All existing quotations leading to an order in 2021 will be processed under the old set-up.

All existing quotations leading to an order in 2022 will be processed under the new set-up.

No, orders already placed in 2021 will be processed as confirmed - even if delivery is in 2022. You will receive an invoice still from the WACKER production entity.

Yes, from 01/01/2022 onwards, there are some changes:

Customers with goods transported to their residence in Poland will receive an invoice with local polish VAT from Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp.z o.o.

This change of invoice set-up has no impacht on our payment terms.

There is no change in the logistic process. All WACKER products will still be shipped in the same way as before directly from the WACKER production sites to your ship-to location. However, transport insurance will be covered by the new seller (Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp.z o.o.)

No, our Incoterms will remain the same, in general that is CIP (seat customer). Transport insurance will be covered by the new seller (Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp.z o.o.)

Yes, Elemica orders need to be placed at the WACKER affiliate located in the country to which the order will be delivered (your ship-to location):

For an order with a ship-to location in France, please place your order at Wacker Chimie S.A.S.
