WACKER changes its invoices set-up

Up from January 1st 2022, our local WACKER affiliate Wacker Chimie S.A.S. will fulfill your orders under its own name and on its own account.

This change starts in selected countries in the EU and will be continued to be rolled out globally over the next few years. We start with our WACKER affiliates in France, Spain, and Poland.

For you as our valued customer, this change means to set up a new supplier in your ordering process as invoices will be issued by and in the name of Wacker Chimie S.A.S. instead of Wacker Chemie AG or any other production entity of the WACKER group. However, there is no impact on the supply chain.

Here are the most important FAQ's relating to this change. Please refer to your WACKER Sales Manager for further questions.

Yes, there is no change in your contact persons at WACKER.

Your contacts e.g. to our Sales Managers and Sales Directors, our CSR teams, and to our Business Team Management will stay the same.

No, there will be no impact.

Product supply, WACKER production sites and product quality will not be impacted by the new set-up.

There will be no change for our customers. EHS / REACH responsibilities still remain with WACKER.

Yes, all data will stay the same.

The change has no impact at all on supply chain or product related topics.

Yes, as of January 1st 2022, Wacker Chimie S.A.S. being your local WACKER affiliate will be your contract partner. In case the contract does not cover WACKER affiliates already, there is need for a short supplement to the existing contract. Your WACKER Sales Manager will contact you if a contract supplement is applicable to you or if a new contract has to include WACKER affiliates in the future.

Generally, orders should be placed at the WACKER Sales Office located in the country to which the order will be delivered (your ship-to location):

For deliveries to a ship-to location in France, please order at Wacker Chimie S.A.S.

For deliveries to a ship-to location in Spain or Portugal, please order at Wacker Quimica Iberica S.A.

For deliveries to a ship-to location in Poland, Serbia or Romania, please order at Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp. z.o.o.

For deliveries to any other ship-to location, please order at our sales office in the respective ship-to country. Your contract partner is still Wacker Chemie AG in 2022.

We will continue the roll-out of our change in the invoice set-up in 2023 and forward.

We will not have a transition period but rather a hard cut approach:

All orders placed until 31/12/2021 will be confirmed and invoiced by Wacker Chemie AG or the respective WACKER production entity - even if delivery is in 2022.

All orders placed on or after 01/01/2022 will be confirmed and invoiced by Wacker Chimie S.A.S.

This means:

All existing quotations leading to an order in 2021 will be processed under the old set-up.

All existing quotations leading to an order in 2022 will be processed under the new set-up.

No, orders already placed in 2021 will be processed as confirmed - even if delivery is in 2022. You will receive an invoice still from the WACKER production entity.

Yes, from 01/01/2022 onwards, customers with ship-to location in France will receive an invoice including local french VAT from Wacker Chimie S.A.S.

This change of invoice set-up has no impact on our payment terms.

There is no change in the logistic process. All WACKER products will still be shipped in the same way as before directly from the WACKER production sites to your ship-to location. However, transport insurance will be covered by the new seller (Wacker Chimie S.A.S.)

No, our Incoterms will remain the same, in general that is CIP (seat customer). Transport insurance will be covered by the new seller (Wacker Chimie S.A.S.)

Yes, Elemica orders need to be placed at the WACKER affiliate located in the country to which the order will be delivered. That is the respective WACKER affiliate in your ship-to location:

For an order with a ship-to location in France, please place your order at Wacker Chimie S.A.S.

For an order with a ship-to location in Spain or Portugal, please place your order at Wacker Química Ibérica, S.A.

For an order with a ship-to location in Poland, Serbia or Romania, please place your order at Wacker-Chemia Polska Sp. z o.o.

For an order with any other ship-to location, please place your order as before - at the respective WACKER production entity, in general Wacker Chemie AG.

Our customers using Elemica QuickLink face no changes. Please use the same email address as today to send us your order.

For orders via WACKER Webshop, you will need to select your ship-to location in the webshop first. Then you will be automatically led to the Webshop of Wacker Chimica S.A.S. So with a ship-to location in France, your order is automatically placed at and processed by Wacker Chimie S.A.S.
