This course is a combination of classroom instruction and hand-on experience. You will learn the capabilities and design benefits of using liquid silicone rubber in manufacturing molded rubber parts as well as overmolding onto plastic substrates.

Scott Richardson

Scott joined WACKER in 1991 after previously working for Aeroquip Corporation and Callaway Golf. He is currently the technical manager for Healthcare Elastomers. Scott holds an MBA from Baker College and a BS in Chemistry from Michigan State University. He joined WACKER as the section head Elastomer QA supervisor and has also worked as a senior chemist for the Sealants department and as a process engineer.

Norman Riley

Beginning his career with WACKER in 1984, Norm served in technical roles for companies such as WACKER, Applied Silicone, Rhodia, Inc. and Bluestar Silicones over the 31 years that followed. He rejoined WACKER in 2015 as a technical manager for Rubber Solutions, responsible for providing technical service and training to silicone rubber fabricators and end-users, as well as formulation and applications development for LSR and HCR. Norm attended California Lutheran University and holds a BA in Organic Chemistry.
