Wacker Chemical Corporation Donates Self-Produced Hand Sanitizer

Adrian , May 11, 2020

Wacker Chemical Corporation produces its own hand sanitizer due to the corona pandemic. Surplus quantities go to local emergency services and medical facilities.

Made in Adrian: Wacker Chemical Corporation supplied hand sanitizer to local fire departments and ambulance teams, among others.

To protect its workforce, Wacker Chemical Corporation produces its own virucidal disinfectant at Adrian. After site management saw capacity exceeded on-site needs, it began donating disinfectant to local emergency services, medical facilities and residential homes.

The first deliveries went to at least half a dozen facilities. For most of them, the disinfectant arrived just in time, as their stocks were running low.

The WACKER team supports health care workers with its donations and thanks them their tireless efforts at this difficult time. From the site’s new production batches, the WACKER team will deliver more disinfectant from Adrian to neighboring communities and social facilities: “Based on manufacturing capabilities, we hope to continue to provide supplies to frontline community teams.”
