Absolventa Award for WACKER's Trainee Program
Munich, Jun 27, 2018
The Absolventa job portal has again conferred its seal of approval on WACKER’s trainee program. A new round of the 18-month program for university graduates starts this October.
Absolventa’s seal of approval recognizes trainee programs that promote careers and are fair. WACKER is recruiting further outstanding, young potential by launching a new round of its 18-month program starting October 2018 – this time for chemistry, electrical engineering, sales and digitalization.
The application process is still running for the selection phase this July. High performers with a Master’s degree and/or a doctorate have until the end of June to apply. Details of the program are posted on WACKER’s website under Careers.
The previous program’s trainees have been hired for positions in engineering, chemistry, biosolutions and HR. Over the last one and a half years, they worked in Germany and abroad, gaining insights into their areas of expertise and experiencing WACKER from multiple perspectives.
WACKER trainees are supported by sponsors from specialist units. The program is rounded out by meetings with consultants from the Personnel Development department and by other training measures.
Absolventa GmbH’s seal of approval for trainee programs began life in December 2011. It was initiated by the Institute for Human Capital Management (HCM) at Munich’s Ludwig-Maximilian University, by the Süddeutsche Zeitung (a major newspaper) and by ten German companies. To obtain the seal of approval, WACKER underwent an audit, which certified that its trainees work in several corporate sectors, have challenging tasks, receive support from experienced executives, complete training measures and have the chance to network at the company.
