Tattooed skin has become mainstream – and so has the demand for safe, high-performance aftercare. When you get a tattoo, ink is injected under the epidermis into the dermis. This punctures the skin and creates an area on the skin that is essentially an open wound (micro-punctures).
BELSIL® silicones are ideal for formulating cosmetic products for tattoo care. Silicones are generally hypoallergenic, meaning they have low irritation potential. They can achieve pleasant sensory, film-forming effects and offer a high level of comfort. In addition, silicones are known to have a positive effect on scar healing and make scars appear softer and flatter.
In this webinar, we will introduce you to a variety of formulations that have been specially developed for tattoo care. The formulations presented range from moisturizers to prepare for tattooing, to scar gels to support the healing of freshly tattooed areas, to sunscreens to maintain color brilliance. Tobias Franzke
Tobias Franzke has worked at WACKER since completing his chemical training in 2006. After positions at Pulp & Paper and Household Care, he joined Personal Care in 2016. He works in the technical lab there and is responsible for skin and color care applications. He holds WACKER ACADEMY courses on cosmetic products in our BELSIL® line.
Dr. Tassilo Habereder
Dr. Tassilo Habereder studied chemistry and wrote his PhD thesis in inorganic chemistry. Before he joined Wacker Chemie AG he had worked in various positions for Ciba Speciality Chemicals (now BASF). Since 2009, he has been working as technical manager and laboratory head for Personal Care applications at Wacker Chemie AG. Moreover he works as Global Technical Champion for Wacker Skin and Color Care applications.
Anna Reff
Anna Reff has been employed at WACKER in the Personal Care segment since completing her chemical training in 2016. She works in the technical laboratory, where she is responsible for Skin, Color, and Sun Care applications. As part of the WACKER ACADEMY, she provides training sessions on the cosmetic products of the BELSIL® portfolio.
