Production-plant expansion doubles VAE capacity
Since Wacker Chemicals Korea Inc. took over the production plant for emulsions in 2008, the site has made a name for itself across the sector. High production output, operational safety and environmentally conscious corporate management have established this good reputation. Our company mainly produces VINNAPAS® VAE copolymer dispersions for water-based adhesives, coatings and technical nonwovens for countless applications.
Following a construction phase lasting 20 months, we have expanded the existing production plants by constructing a new spray dryer for dispersible polymer powders. At the same time, we built a new reactor for VAE dispersions that doubles our VAE capacity in South Korea. The plant complex is one of the biggest of its kind worldwide. Production started in September 2019.
