Sustainability is one of WACKER’s five strategic corporate goals. We are involved in all aspects that promote sustainable business practices.

Energy & Climate

By 2030, we want to reduce our specific greenhouse gas emissions by 33% (vs. 2012) and lower our specific energy consumption by 50% (vs. 2007).

To this end, we are developing products that help prevent greenhouse gases, reducing our own energy consumption and switching to renewable energy.

Sustainable Products

By 2030, 90% of our products will be making a neutral or positive contribution to sustainability. With WACKER Sustainable Solutions, we have developed tools for the transparent assessment of our portfolio in order to ensure this.

On our way to a circular economy, we are further optimizing our integrated production systems. By closing material loops and recycling byproducts from other areas into production, we are able to lower resource consumption, improve energy efficiency and prevent waste.

Supply Chain Management

We are interested in our products’ contribution to sustainability throughout their entire life cycle. That’s why we are also looking at the supply chain. Our goal is for 90% of our key suppliers to demonstrate their positive contribution to sustainability in a transparent manner.
