Wacker Chemie AG attaches great importance to the rules of proper, sustainable and good corporate governance. The company therefore follows the recommendations of the German Corporate Governance Code.

German Corporate Governance Code

The term Corporate Governance covers a company’s entire system of management and supervision. This includes: organization, corporate principles, policy guidelines, and internal and external steering and monitoring mechanisms.

In accordance with the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG, Section 161), Wacker Chemie AG, as a listed company, is obligated to declare the extent to which the code’s recommendations have been and are being complied with, and to declare those recommendations that have not been or are not being applied (“comply or explain”).
