Personal Care BELSIL® REG 1103 B a new Hydrophilic Elastomer Gel

EUROPE (BURGHAUSEN)
Webinar | Distributors

Description

In this webinar we will introduce WACKER’s new generation of silicone elastomer gel, BELSIL® REG 1103 B. We will present its wide application range and the multiple benefits that it delivers. Additionally, we will showcase various formulation examples developed in the different WACKER application labs around the globe.

Silicone elastomer gels play an important role in the formulation of personal care and cosmetic products by providing distinctive and unique sensory attributes such as a smooth, silky skin feel and a very pleasant texture. With our established products such as BELSIL® RG 100 and BELSIL® REG 1102 we also introduced special transfer resistance benefits to this product group.

WACKER has now developed the next generation of silicone elastomer gel with the introduction of BELSIL® REG 1103 B. Adding functionalized groups such as sugar moieties allows us to now provide a product with a real multifunctionality and great formulation flexibility, enabling formulators to use the product in a broad variety of formulations.

One of the key benefits of BELSIL® REG 1103 B is the fact that the elastomer gel can take up water. Diluting the product with water yields immediately a cream with a very fresh and silky skin feel. This allows e.g. to use the product as a formulation base for DIY formulations.
