Closed Material Loops Are One of WACKER’s Major Strengths
What we know is that if we don’t utilize the byproducts of individual chemical processes, such as waste gases, wastewater, solid waste, and, in particular, waste heat, the result is not only environmental pollution, but also a loss of value. Reducing solid, liquid and gaseous waste – in particular greenhouse gases – is one of our ongoing goals. Not least because you, our customers who use our products in your processes, are accountable for the ecological footprint of your own products.
Energy-Saving Operations That Minimize Resources

Our system of integrated production is based on the principle of recycling and reusing existing raw materials.
Resultant intermediates and byproducts are reprocessed and returned to the production cycle, or used as raw materials for other products. Many production chains, though independent of one another, intermesh like cogs, driving the entire integrated production system like a gear box. We thus use custom chemical processes to provide the basis for our products – such as hyperpure silicon, pyrogenic silica, silanes, silicones, dispersions, dispersible polymer powders, polymer resins and basic materials for fine-chemical and biotech products.
