Additional take-back conditions supplementing the general take-back requirements

In addition to the general take-back conditions, the following provisions of the service provider (see rigk.de) shall apply.

When returning packaging, completely emptied packaging is to be separated on the basis of its non-hazardous and hazardous contents. Accordingly, different take-back systems – RIGK and RIGK-G – apply in this context. Packaging used for hazardous contents is marked with the following symbols:

RIGK SYSTEM:

  • Hollow containers are to be sorted according to the type of material (in accordance with DIN standard 6120); caps, lids, covers, and metal handles, e.g., buckets, jerricans, must be removed beforehand.
  • Films, film bags, FIBCs, fabric bags, composite packaging (including composite big-bags) must be sorted according to their plastic waste category before delivery.

RIGK-G SYSTEM:

  • RIGK-G packaging is separated into the recycling waste categories A and B as described earlier.
  • Packaging containing gases, explosive, infectious, and radioactive substances will not be taken back.
  • Type-approved collection bags for hazardous contents can be provided on request from the RIGK-G SYSTEM at the contact address below.

In particular, before returning packaging used for hazardous products, consumers are required to check the aforementioned service provider’s the currently applicable take-back conditions.

The charges for taking back and recycling shall be borne by WACKER.

RIGK operates as a drop-off or bring system, i.e., the provision of skips and transportation for the used packaging must be arranged for independently between the consumer and the collection point.
